What Media Engineers Think is Cool

This semester I'm in a class called "Computational Principles for Media Arts." Let's be honest. I had no idea what this meant when I signed up for it. It seemed like the thing to do at the time. Turns out, it was! The class is meant to introduce the student to programming tools used in media art (like video and audio), but is structured in a way to give each student freedom to learn what applies to their own interests. In addition, each student gets a chance to share something cool from the field with the rest of the class... meaning I get to sit in class and watch youtube videos and news articles of things that Media Engineers think are cool. Just another day living the dream.

Here is the most interesting article presented for this round.
